Light of the World
Scripture: Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.’ -John 8:12
Prayer: God of all the heaven and earth, You are the one who loves mercy and performs justice. You stand unchallenged in the heavens, and there is no one who can question Your authority.
I thank You Lord for the light of Your love that has illumined my darkness, and I rejoice in Your mercy so freely extended to me.
Lord, I lift up {TARGET} to You today and ask for that same illumination to be extended to {THEM}. You are the light of the world. There is no darkness that can resist Your light. Whatever the deception is that holds {THEM} back must flee in the face of Your sacrifice, truth and love.
I speak to the spirits of darkness that shadow {TARGET}’s {mind,mind,mind’s}, and I proclaim to you this truth, The light of Jesus shines from the cross; from the grave His love speaks; and from the highest heavens His voice commands, “Let My {child,child,children} go!” The ransom has been paid, and you have no right to hinder that which was purchased by the blood of the Lamb. In Jesus mighty name.
