Scripture: Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. -Psalms 42:11

Prayer: Lord of all Hope, You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Saviour, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, to whom shall we look?

Lord, we live in a fallen state and our souls struggle against the world, the flesh and the devil. Despair can sometimes catch our heel, and we lose sight of the hope we have in You.

I lift up {TARGET} to You today, and I ask You to guard {THEIR} hope. Deliver {THEM} Lord from discouragement and fear that can creep in and wear {THEM} down. Break in upon {THEIR} {mind, mind, minds} today Lord and dislodge doubts, and troubling thoughts.

Give {THEM} fresh strength to praise and exalt Your name in the midst of difficulty, and birth yet another testimony of Your deliverance into {THEIR} {life, life, lives}. In Jesus name, amen.
